Brush - Checkout Branding (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and data of merchants who install and use our application. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, and safeguard information in connection with the App.

Brush is a Shopify application designed to provide checkout and customer account branding customization features for Shopify merchants.

The App does not collect, store, sell, or share personal customer data.

The App is designed to operate with minimal data retention.

2. Information We Access

In order to provide its functionality, the App accesses limited store-related data via the Shopify API, strictly within the scopes approved by the merchant during installation.

This may include:

• Store metadata
• Theme or branding configuration data
• Files uploaded for branding purposes
• Checkout branding settings

The App does not access:

• Customer payment information
• Customer passwords
• Sensitive personal customer data
• Any information beyond approved API scopes

3. How Information Is Used

Any accessed information is used solely for:

• Delivering the App’s core features
• Applying branding configurations
• Rendering customized checkout or account UI elements
• Maintaining and improving App functionality

We do not use merchant or store data for marketing, analytics resale, profiling, or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage

Brush is designed to operate with minimal data retention.

We do not permanently store customer personal data.

We maintain a database for history saving purposes and for provided customization presets.

Any temporary technical logs are used strictly for debugging, security, and operational integrity.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share merchant or store data with third parties.

Data may only be processed by infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the application (such as hosting providers), and only for operational purposes.

6. Merchant Control and Data Removal

Merchants retain full control over their data at all times.

If a merchant uninstalls the App:

• Access tokens are invalidated
• API access is terminated
• All customizations will be cancelled to the default state.
• History will be available for cases if merchant would like to reinstall the app and rollback the latest changes to apply latest checkout settings.

Any stored configuration data associated with the store is deleted within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

All data transfers occur over secure HTTPS connections.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
